Location: The Basement Speakeasy - 3740 Portage Ave. (inside the Howard Johnson Hotel)

Join us for a fun, night out with your babes at Winnipeg's swankiest Speakeasy!

Travel back in time to this 1920’s style speakeasy, entering this unique venue through a secret entranceway.

This special event will start out with a 1-hour open level Burlesque Fusion dance class where you will learn a short & sassy routine to a fun Spice Girls song, complete with costumes such as boas, feather tails and corsets that you can dress up in if you like!

Feel free to DRESS IN COSTUME - AS YOUR FAVOURITE SPICE GIRL!

Then we will get comfy and watch the movie "Spice World" up on the big screen. Complimentary snacks such as popcorn and a complimentary beverage (champagne or non-alcoholic choice) will be provided. Bar & food service will also be available if you'd like to order anything additional off the menu. There will also be a fun Spice Girls themed prize pack we will be giving away at the end of the night to one lucky winner!

Overview

This special event will start out with a 1-hour open level Burlesque Fusion dance class where you will learn a short & sassy routine to a fun Spice Girls song, complete with costumes such as boas, feather tails and corsets that you can dress up in if you like! Dance Class Level

*Open Level – Open to any skill level, from absolute beginners to the more advanced dancer. This class is adapted to the skill level of the group.

What to Wear

Please wear clothing you feel comfortable dancing in. Most people like to wear athletic clothing such as yoga pants or shorts with a tank top for example. Some students prefer to dance in heels, but sneakers, jazz dance shoes, character dance shoes or bare feet are also an option (just as long as you have indoor shoes).

AND Feel free to DRESS as your FAVOURITE SPICE GIRL!

We will also have costumes such as boas, feather tails and corsets that you can dress up in if you like!
