What is involved in a dance concept video:

A dance concept video can be compared to that of a music video, but with no singers present. It is a short video (usually the length of a song, approximately 3-4 minutes) that tells a story or expresses a theme through the art of dance.

In our concept video choreography classes, you will learn a dance routine to an entire song. After learning and perfecting the dance for the 4-week session, you will then perform it in front of a camera at a special location in the city. You will receive a copy of the video at the end of the session (this is included in the price below).

What to Wear

Please wear clothing you feel comfortable dancing in. Most people like to wear athletic clothing such as yoga pants or shorts with a tank top for example. Some students prefer to dance in heels, but sneakers, jazz dance shoes, character dance shoes or bare feet are also an option (just as long as you have indoor shoes). For the on-stage performance at the end of the session, a black heel of some sort will work best (character dance or ballroom shoe or heel boot for example). We'll chat more about performance costuming/shoes in class.
