Burlesque Fusion - Beginner- Non-performance classes

Day & Time: Sundays (October 26 – December 7), 4:15 – 5:15PM

Duration: 7-Week Session (1 hour classes)

Location: Ted Motyka Dance Studio (460 Main St. - please use side entrance located through the alley off of Albert St.)

*Age restriction - Must be 18+ to register for these classes.

*This session we will be making these classes themed! The beginning of the session will be Halloween themed and the 2nd half of the session the dance routines will be Christmas themed.

Overview

Burlesque Fusion focuses on the aspects of seduction and sensual movements, with no strip-tease and adds aspects of jazz & hip-hop dance set to upbeat and sultry pop music. Prairie Diva’s goal is to encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and feel confident in their own skin. Burlesque Fusion is open to all levels, shapes and sizes of adults and is a safe space to express yourself and strut it down the dance floor!

*Beginner Level – No dance experience necessary. Low-medium intensity.

What to Wear

Please wear clothing you feel comfortable dancing in. Most people like to wear athletic clothing such as yoga pants or shorts with a tank top for example. Some students prefer to dance in heels, but sneakers, jazz dance shoes, character dance shoes or bare feet are also an option (just as long as you have indoor shoes).
